Before I start I like to state that the ware house sent me a updated model. From A630 to a B630 for the same price that the tv cost due to low inventory. So I got a good deal. By far the tv is wounderful it’s terrific playing blu-Ray and playing video games on my PS3 slim. Now the only issue that I will complain about which at first but not anymore because the problem is fixed now. I did noticed when I be watching a movie at 24hz or 24 fps. I saw alot of ghosting going on in action scenes in movies. But I fixed this problem. What I did is very simple I went to video settings and turned off the bluray 24hz. So that way the PS3 can play the movie at 60hz. This will eliminate the ghosting effect by 2/3rds maybe more. Now I don’t see it anymore. So I can watch my movies in 120hz by selecting the motion sensor on CLEAR. Standard or Smooth is to much. I recomend this tv or the later series Samsungs is a great brand.

I bought a RCA 42″ LCD on Nov. of 08. Needless to say I had problems with the t.v. from the very beginning. After a year of being jerked around by Walmart I decided to buy from a quality company rather than save a buck. I’m am very pleased that I did. As soon as I turned it on I was blown away by the quality of the picture. The sound is also better with this t.v. It doesn’t hurt my ears when I have to turn it up because the kids are being to loud. The surround sound effect that it puts out is good also. Though I have a sony bravia surround sound system that I do not need the t.v.’s speakers on for movies or when I’m watching sports. I’ve seen others complaining about the sound from the t.v. echoing with the sound from the surround system. This does happen because the two recieve the sounds a half second apart. This has happened with every t.v. I ever had with the two different surround sound systems I’ve had. I also seen that someone complained about lag from their video game systems with this t.v. I have not experienced any lag also the picture quality is very crisp and clean for the games. In the manual it says if you put the t.v. in game mode it may mess with the quality of game play. I have not used the game mode nor have I ever used the game mode with any t.v. that I have if it was available. Mainly because they all say it will lower the quality of game play. When I put on a movie with my blu-ray the picture was so amazing I thought the people were gonna walk right of my t.v. All in all I give this t.v. 5 out of 5 stars. It is extremely simple to set up, if you have half a brain you can use the remote with ease. Everything is great. Side Note: the remote does light up with every little bit of movement, maybe even a light breaze could make it light up. I was worried about battery life but I had the t.v. for over a month and they are still fine. I recommend the t.v. to anyone. Good luck and good shopping.

Great Picture, Lousy Sound – Moopey Sloopey – New Orleans, La
Bought this about 5 weeks ago. The picture is out of this world and I have had no issues with it so far. The sound is awful, however. My next purchase is surround sound. I would recommend this TV to anyone, as long as they get external speakers to go with it.

This is a fantastic television, but beware that some sellers are trying to sell the 2009 model for the price of the 2010 model. The 2010 model has “local dimming” LED technology, which is superior to that of the 2009 model. Don’t pay for what you’re not getting!

I bought this monitor/tv for my dorm room to conserve on space and give a much larger screen for my 12″ powerbook. I have had no problems syncing it with my mac, all I had to do was plug and play! The monitor quality is excellent, all the pictures are crisp and clear. As a tv, however, it is lacking. Some channels are better then other, a few (3-4 out of 97 or so) are quite grainy and of poor quality. The picture quality does improve the further you get from the tv. The picture in a picture feature is wonderful, I spend more time watching tv in that mode then in full screen. The speakers are surprising good I have a very small room so I haven’t used them at their loudest setting, but at a normal listening range there is no distortion.

I would say that this product while not suitable primarily as a tv is an excellent hybrid for it’s price. If you need both a monitor and a tv this is an excellent buy!

happy at 1st but not later – M. Stone –
I bought my 910MP at Office Depot for premium price (0+) nearly three years ago, and I was satisfied at first, even though the tv pic quality was not great. My chief interest was in computer-monitor use, which was acceptable, and I’ve almost always used the PIP to watch tv as I do computer work. The PIP tv image quality is much better than full-screen tv on this monitor.

Audio quality was mediocre from the get-go, even though I didn’t expect much from on-board monitor speakers. Later, the audio began to distort or to disappear occasionally, requiring me to re-power the monitor or to turn the audio volume WAY UP until audio came back … then back down to listening level.

I had a couple of very distracting stuck pixels (RED) dead-center after about a year … but recently I found a suggestion online to MASSAGE the stuck pixels lightly with my finger, and by golly IT WORKED … no more stuck pixels YAY!

After 2+ years of fairly hard use (at least 8 hours each day and sometimes on for several continuous days), the monitor developed some other video artifacts (horizontal striping or banding) that only appear in tv-viewing mode or with certain full-color computer images. These troubles don’t seem to be helped by the MASSAGE.

I got what I expected (an acceptable computer monitor with tv tuner), but I felt I had paid too much at 0+, considering mainly the less-than-optimal tv viewing quality and the audio/video problems that have appeared over time.

If you get a good price, and if you don’t expect too much, this monitor may be a nice deal for you.

We purchased two of these monitors to replace older LCD monitors that stopped working. The monitor does everything we expected.

Set up in not intuitive but is OK if you read the instructions. Resolution is good for normal viewing but there is some banding if you are viewing a screen with mostly light colors. This is acceptable as I have observed it on other monitors.

It leaves a bit to be desired when used as a TV but the PIP is very good. Again this was the same with our older monitors.

I would recommend this monitor if you are looking for a dual function monitor at a reasonable price.

I have treated this TV with kid glove. Not like you see on TV new and in person when the owners of new TVs drag the TV then drop it off the curb and drive it home upside down etc. I have a quality surge protector on it that also has a filter. Not your power strip. I kill anyone that turns it off then on in seconds as that is bad for any TV. I do not let people get near it with anything magnetic even dust busters etc.
I think all new tech have problems but my Slim-tube CRT has been as good as day one even now.
By the Way you all know that LCD and Plasma are dead tech as Feds and Seds and all are going to make them obsolete and the Feds that I think they renamed FET is a CRT tv with OUT the Tube as it uses thousands of guns behind each pixel and is cheap item to make but better in image quality.

Still working fine since ‘05 – R. Fil –
I bought this TV brand new from Circuit City back in ‘05 for a ridiculous 0. It’s crazy how much prices have come down on TV’s today compared to only 5 years ago. Cost aside, I must be one of the lucky ones because after reading all the 1 star reviews about the tv turning off, bad geometry and all that…I haven’t had one of those problems yet! Of course now that I’m putting up this review my tv probably wont go on the next time I decide to watch TV in my bedroom. The unit itself is definitely heavy. Me trying to get it up to my bedroom by myself was quite the task but I eventually got it up there. Only bad thing is if I want to sell it now I wont get much for it just because of what you can get these days for your money.

This is our first flat panel TV and we did quite a bit of research before purchasing. Seems different manufacturers concentrate on different sizes – Samsung had by far the best picture for the 22″ class (looked at a bunch of TV’s at Best Buy to compare). TV size was dictated by where it’s being used. Great antenna – we have no cable at our rural location and often have a difficult time receiving local stations. This TV already had 90% of the local stations with only the coaxial cable connected – I hadn’t even connected the antenna yet. With antenna connected it receives all local channels perfectly.

The owner’s manual is a bible – there are about 1000 features to this TV that we’ll never use nor understand. HDTV feature is stunning when using new Blu-Ray Disc player. Have only been using for about one month (Christmas present to ourselves)but so far so good. Would recommend highly.

The TV sound kind of sucks, but who cares? It’s plenty good for a small to large room, and you really should purchase separate sound if you want to appreciate those Blurays anyway. You can purchase a cheap surround sound for less than $[...]. bucks.

Extremely disappointed with this TV: Suggest you look at Sharp and Sony – Shud B Golfing – Ottawa, Canada
I purchased this TV in October of 2008. I selected this TV over Sony models based on reviews and a price discount. I guess I learned the hard way “you get what you pay for”. Aproximately 15 months after purchase, we started to notice lines across the screen. At first, these would go away with a slight tap on the back of the unit, but that soon changed.

My calls into Samsung “customer care” got politely brushed off: “Sorry, nothing we can do. You should have bought the extended warranty”. I tried going up the ladder to a manager. No joy. The unit started malfunctioning three months off warranty and I get the news a little over a month later that I need a new LCD panel (0 installed).

Thanks Samsung. Next time I’ll buy the Sony.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?
