I decided to purchase this warranty shortly after we ordered a Mitsubishi WD-73737 73-Inch 1080p 120Hz Home Theater DLP HDTV from Amazon, because Amazon recommended this service.

THE PURCHASE EXPERIENCE

Getting the warranty was relatively easy. I had a few questions because our TV is a DLP, not an LCD, Plasma or LED but, to my surprise the off-shore persons answering the phone – and it was easy to get to talk to a human – were able to intelligently search their knowledge base, find the definition of DLP, determine that my TV could be covered, correctly answer my question regarding the DLP’s replacement lamp (no, it’s not covered) and made a note in their system that my TV was a DLP.

Shortly after I actually completed the purchase at Amazon, I received an email from SquareTrade that had a printable copy of the service agreement/contract.

I was told over the phone that I had to get a userID/password at their site in order to be able to manage my coverage information. Once that completed, I was able to log in and retrieve my contract number and instructions on how to send SquareTrade my proof of purchase – simply paste Amazon’s invoice into an email that has the contract number in the subject line.

SquareTrade then sent me an email that acknowledged me sending them my proof of purchase and advising me to keep the original because they were not going to actually verify my purchase until I made my first claim.

COVERAGE

It may be interesting to understand how coverage works without spending time on the phone with the company reps so, here it is.

- There is a 60-day full refund upon cancellation provision so, if you don’t like the service agreement, it’s easy to cancel.
- This coverage is concurrent with the manufacturer’s warranty. In other words, this 4-year coverage begins on the day you sign for it but SquareTrade won’t be taking claims from you while the manufacturer’s warranty is still in effect. If your manufacturer has a one-year warranty on your TV, SquareTrade will cover it for years 2, 3 and 4.
- The value of coverage is limited to whatever you paid for your TV. This is important so, let me provide the full quote from the agreement:

[The total amount that We will pay for repairs or replacement made in connection with all claims that You make pursuant to this Service Agreement shall not exceed the purchase price of the Product, less taxes. In the event that We make payments for repairs, which in the aggregate, are equal to the purchase price or replace the Product with a new, rebuilt or refurbished product of equal or similar features and functionality, We will have no further obligations under this Service Agreement.]

- There is a ‘no lemon’ provision in the agreement which states that if the same item is repaired 3 times for the same defect within a year they will replace your TV with an equivalent product, at which time the warranty coverage ends – will not cover the replacement.
- If your TV is damaged by a power surge and you had a power surge protector they may ask you to send it over to them for examination (probably to see if they can get some money from the power surge protector manufacturer).
- Any time we are talking about replacements, they reserve the right to ask for the defective item to be sent to them and they will provide the box and the shipping label.
- They will help arrange for in-house repairs and pay the repair company directly.
- They do not cover scratches or cracks.
- They do not cover any damage cause by you doing terrible things to your TV – like leaving it out in the rain.
- There is no deductible.
- They will allow for the agreement to be transferred if you sell your TV – can do it at their Web site.

I haven’t made any claim yet but, since Amazon stands behind this company and based on the service agreement and on my experience in dealing with the people at the call center, I am confident that this is a company worth doing business with so they get a 5-star.

I received my TV March 2cd, 2010! I hooked this Tv up to my Comcast HD cable and the picture is amazing! Words cannot discribe how much I am enjoying this TV! My husband was the one who told me to buy it and I am so happy that he did! I have always been a fan of Samsung. I bought a 40inch Samsun LCD from Amazon last year as a mother’s day gift to myself and have been enjoying that TV also, but this Tv shows a much better picture than my Samsung 40inch LCD and I didn’t think that Samsung could do much better! I was wrong people!

This Tv is so amazing that I have it hooked up to a regular Sony 5 disk DVD player and I am telling you all that my old dvd movies on an old DVD player looks like an HD movie! Unbelevable! How is that possible? This TV is one of the great loves of my life! I have this baby hooked up to a sony surround sound system and everyone that comes over says that they feel like they are at the show! I know what they mean! My husband and I have been watching a new movie on this bad boy everyday since we got it!

The remote is great! I LOVE IT! The remote has a lot of command buttons on it. The color is beautiful. I love the night light on the remote. The remote fits well in your hands.

Another reason why I bought this Tv is because I wanted a touch of color (red)! I have red drapes in my living room where this Tv is resting at and it looks amazing! At first when I first saw the touch of color a year ago in red I thought what a crazy idea for a TV cabinet! Boy was I wrong! This touch of color makes the TV stand out and looks that much more expensive!

I haven’t hooked any game units to this tv yet so I cannot speak on it or a BluRay but when I do I will give you all an update about the picture quality. If you are looking to purchase a TV than look nowhere else! This Tv is the one for you! It has a lot of HDMI outlets for all of you entertainment needs. It has a USB outlet and many more outlets. This TV is a one stop shop! Buy it now!

I’ve spent two years looking for an LCD HD TV. While I had found several I liked the look of there was always something that didn’t quite work. Sometimes specs, sometimes performance and sometimes price. When I found the LN52B630 it had everything I was looking for, great specs, great reviews and a great price. I’ve had the TV for about three months now and couldn’t be happier with it. It looks geat in the living room, it has a fantastic picture, the matte finish screen virtually eliminates glare (a problem with a glossy screen in my environment) and performance has been excellent. I purchased the TV in a bundle with the Samsung BD-P1600 blue ray player and am very happy with the way the two work together. The player will automatically set the TV screen mode to the optimal setting for the source material.

After comparing similiar sized TV’s at Best buy, Sam’s Club, and Sears, I purchased this TV at sears for 9 last thursday, it was a an internet purchase returned to the store. I like the fact that it was 20 inches not 19, and I liked the Vizio over similar offerings from Samsung, Dynex, Sylvania, and Insignia. I purchased it for use in my home office, would have prefered a black housing instead of white, but that was not a concern. I got it set up and hooked it to my Dish Network DVR via coax cable and the non hd channels look good when setting the tv to the Zoom 1 setting, and watching the Winter Olympics on the local NBC HD channel looks fine, I went on the internet and looked and the recommended viewing distance for a 20″ to 5 feet so it looks a little fuzzy closer up as compared to it being in VGA mode for the computer, the other knock on this Tv from what I read was that it has only a 160 degree viewing radius, but since I am will primarilty the only one watching it, was also not a concern. The tricky part was hooking it to my notebook computer, which was the part of the reason for buying it. I used a VGA cable as oppose to HDMI, the native resolution is 1600×900 and windows 7 set it up correctly, but on the TV the computer image was pushed way right, and up. I called tech support and the women was of no use in assisting me in correcting the problem. I moved internet explorer over to the tv screen and after maximizing the window, I then using the TV settings, played with the horizontal alignment, size, and vertical alignment and got it adjusted correctly and it looks just fine. The remote is quite large, but its no bigger than my DVR one so I don’t mind. My initial opinion is that its a great tv for the money, so only time will tell on the the durability.

Purchased the Vizio VX200E 20″ HDTV last night at Sam’s Club for 0. I had been considering a Samsung LN19B360 19″ HDTV to replace our older non-HD Samsung 19″ LCD on the kitchen counter. The Vizio VX200E caught my eye with a great picture, larger yet still compact size plus a lower price compared to the Samsung… so off I went with the Vizio. I’m connected directly to the cable… no cable box, no outside antenna. When given the “Turn On” command, the set does take a few seconds to “warm up” before switching on, but that’s not a show-stopper. After going through the setup procedure, we were pleased to be watching a top-notch picture considering the price. Broadcast channels in HD over the cable look great on this set. Sound quality is satisfactory though a little hot on treble… haven’t tried to adjust sound or the picture/ color… default settings are quite good.

I wonder if TV remote design engineers use the products they design?? Seems that none of the TV remotes are flat on the bottom so one can push remote buttons with the unit sitting on the table/ counter without ending up with the remote flipping over.

Overall I am very pleased with this product… after less than 24 hrs of use… it’s performance over time will determine my long-term view of quality & reliability.

Bought this TV in October 2007 (from Amazon)after spending that summer doing all kinds of research (especially Plasma vs LCD comparisons) I choose to with this Samsung/Plasma due mostly to its competitive pricing, picture quality and standard features. I LCD’s at the time were still behind the Plasmas with picture quality. I originally wanted a 42″ but went bigger and I am so glad I did.

Now lets get down to what you are reading this review for. Once purchased it took about a week for delivery (which for me was way too long but I did have time to find a TV stand). If you are going from a SD TV to a HD TV (as I did) then you will be amazed at the picture quality especially if you are a sports fan. Now SD channels are not that good but are better that a regular TV with 4:3 pull down. Also I switched from Comcast to DirectTV due to the picture quality. Comcast has to use a video compression technique to get HD over the coaixal cable which henders quality.

Out of the box I had a low sounding buzzing noise that was intermittent and if I turned the volume up I wouldn’t hear it. It kinda bothered me at first but I go over it. After reading some forums alot of people experince this with Plasma it’s just to what volume level can you tolerate it. Samsung is aware and have some remedies. Also be aware this TV gets hot and expands the plastic molding which will make a crakling sound from time to time (you will also hear this when you turn the TV off). This issue/concern is addressed in the owners manual. This is just a by product of having a Plasma TV.

After adjusting all the available picture settings I was completely satisfied with picture quality. I have a PS3 (HDMI) and XBOX 360 (Component) and both are beautiful to look at. Please be advised that additional adjustments may be neccessary to get the picture the way you want it. I could write more on this but its my vision vs yours. So remember its what you prefer not me. I am just very pleased with the HD and SD picture quality. I highly recommend this TV.

I do have to say I do get compliments from others (mostly friends and family) on the picture quality they see on this TV.

Now I did have a bit problem that drove me crazy for awhile. Late January 09 I started noticing this rapid pixel flicker of red and green color in dark areas of video content. It only seemed to happen after the TV had been on for awhile (sometimes 30min to 2hrs). I think is was tempeature related. Oh by the way the backt top of the TV gets really hot. So if you have children please be aware of this. Now back to this flickering of pixels you had to be about 3-5 feet away to really see it but after about a month of this I could see it from my standard sitting distance (which is exactly 10ft).
I called Samsung support and even after a year still issued a warranty work order. The tech that came out could see it (that was good to know because my girlfriend said I was obessed with this. Unfortunately the tech just oredered a power supply board and that realy didn’t fix it. So I called Samsung back and they issued another warranty claim and the TV repair shop said we will get you an interior display replacement (which replaces the display and all boards except power supply and input/output board.). So needless to say Samsung support has been GREAT to me.

Overall— Do your own research. Pick the TV that fits your budget and wants. You already know you need a TV. Don’t be afraid to go big. Go online to the actual brand manfacturer to determine what the models are (entry level vs premium) and features they come with. Then go to the big retailers to actually see the TV. Do be skeptical of picture quality in the store. They use different settings than what you may use in your home. Remeber where you are putting this TV (pay attention to you surrounding light). Then shop Amazon becuase no sales tax. I would’ve paid over 1,000 more if I bought at the BB store. Also not every TV is perfect these are highly technical pieces of equipment and all brands have issues (as you will discover when you do your research). Its how they deal with those issues that sets them apart. As I have stated before Samsung has been great to me.

Good Product – Horrible Customer Service – J. Wilson –
I’ve had this TV for over a year. The TV is easy to use with lots of nice features and it gets a nice picture. After several months of use the power supply went out while the TV was still under warranty.

The customer service and warranty repair service is horrible. It took almost 3 weeks to get someone to the house to repair the TV. Hour’s on the phone with Samsung and all they do is blame the 3rd party service provider that they contract the work out to. This is the last Samsung product I will ever buy. I have purchase 2 additional flat panel TV’s since this TV from other manufactures.

I absolutely love this monitor! I use it 90% as a computer monitor and 10% for videos. I wanted a monitor that would match my modern furniture and not look like a “corporate cubical” screen. Here’s my review:

1) Aesthetically this monitor looks wonderful. It has a clear bezel around the edges of the screen. The “TOC” Taste of Color is the red/rose color highlight at the bottom edge. Very tastefully done! The front has no exposed buttons and looks sleek and sexy. The T260HD is one of the best looking monitors out there. I’ve owned 11 LCD monitors and have always placed appearance high on my list. The back is gloss black and looks classy. No shame showing off the backside of this monitor. The industrial design called for soft round and curve lines to break up the typical square and blocky shape. My only gripe is no height adjustment. It does swivel left and right. The stand is plenty stable despite seeing a guy on youtube rock the monitor sideways with his hands. No one will be rocking my T260HD like that!

2)I mainly use this as a computer monitor. This monitor is 1900×1200 @ 16:10 ration, not the lower 1900×1080 @16:9ratio. The 16:10 ratio gives you more vertical screen size for less scrolling of the mouse. The 1900×1200 resolution is almost mandatory for anything over 24″ in size. The text is simply sharper. I returned the Samsung P2770HD 27″ monitor because the 1900×1080 did not cut it. The text was not sharp enough for my 20/10 vision eyes.(better than 20/20). My mad man Excel spreadsheets are beautiful in all it’s glory displaying 10 font size covering 13.7″ x 21.75″. Window 7 Snap feature allows me to have 2 documents up, each measuring 13.7″H x 10.8″W. That’s bigger than 8″x11″!

3)This monitor comes with ready for cable TV hookup or any HDMI source. It is magnificient with 720P and better sources. The 16:10 leaves a bar a the top and bottom. Doesn’t bother me much. I’ll take 16:10 anyday over 16:9. I previous used two 19″ 4:3 monitor in landscape mode that gave me more screen than a 28″ monitor. 1080P material like Blue Ray looks excellent. However, you will need to spend about 20 minutes to dial in the color settings. Some reviewers complainted about the greenish tint, well you can adjust that out!

5) Tip! Connect via DVI to computer if possible. You have more adjustability than with HDMI. Use the HDMI for TV and Satelitte input.

Overall, I very impressed with the Samsung T260HD. I bought it here on Amazon for 9, no tax, and free shipping! That’s right, price was lower than Newegg! I was hitting the refresh button and seeing the quantities go down from 10 to zero; then bam back to 9. This monitor was 9 to 9 when it first came out. This is the best looking monitor/TV out right now. Only HP has something similar. Pictures on the web does not do this monitor justice. If you can; check it out at your local electronic store.

Works Great. Good Price. TV and the Picture looks great. HDMI/DVI/VGA all worked fine. Audio is a little low but this was already expected. I am unable to use this as a second tv because my dish network receiver only send out SD broadcasts to the 2nd tv.

The only issue so far Monitor does not go to sleep automatically in HDMI. Have not tried it in the DVI/VGA mode.
